Speaker Information:

  • If you have not yet done so, log into the Speaker Management System to sign the speaking agreement. Contact conferenceteam@icma.org if you are not able to locate your personalized link and password.
  • Download the powerpoint template »
  • PowerPoint may be used for Expert Lectures, Panel Discussions and Workshops. Be sure to use the conference branded PowerPoint Template. The deadline to load your PowerPoint was August 15th. These presentations will be turned over to the AV company on August 22nd. As such, there is still time to load- please do so by 11:59pm Eastern on August 21st. If you miss the deadline, you will need to load your PowerPoint onsite in Columbus in the Speaker Ready Room (B130).
  • PowerPoints may only be used by speakers for Presentation style sessions (Expert Lectures, Panel Discussions and Workshops). AV equipment will be available in these meeting rooms. The equipment will include a computer, screen and projector, podium with microphone, head table for 4 speakers with 2 microphones and an aisle microphone for questions/comments from the attendees.
  • AV equipment is not available in session rooms for Ask Me Anything, My Cheat Sheet, Roundtable, The Moment When or World Café sessions; as such speakers for these sessions should not prepare a PowerPoint.
  • If you have handouts for your session, these too were due by August 15th. Materials will be turned over to the AV company on August 22nd. As such, there is still time to load- please do so by 11:59pm Eastern on August 21st. If you miss the deadline, you will need to load your handouts onsite in Columbus in the Speaker Ready Room (B130). ICMA will make these handouts available to attendees electronically. If you wish to print copies to bring with you, you are welcome to do so.
  • Those speakers using PowerPoint should check into the Speaker Ready Room (B130) at least four (4) hours in advance of your session. If your session is in the early morning, you may check in the day before. The AV staff in the Speaker Ready Room will assist you with checking that the correct version of your PowerPoint is loaded. You should also bring a back up of the PowerPoint with you on a flash drive.
  • Please arrive to your assigned session room 10 minutes before the start of your session.
  • You may check your assigned time slot/room on the agenda page of the Annual Conference website.
  • If you have not yet registered for the conference, be sure to do so. Speakers who are not members of ICMA were sent registration instructions via email in late May. It is your responsibility to register for the conference and secure a hotel room; ICMA does not cover your registration.
  • Questions should be submitted to conferenceteam@icma.org.

Session Information

  • You have been sent your assigned session slot via email.  If you cannot find that email, please check the agenda page for your assignment.
  • We will live-stream and/or record some of the sessions to share with the digital attendees. You will be notified in advance if your session is being streamed or recorded.
  • Please note that presentation and panel sessions should allow at least 15-20 minutes for Q&A.

Registration

  • You must be registered for the conference prior to reserving a hotel room!
  • All speakers must register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fee. Speakers who are not members of ICMA should use code SPEAKER3 to receive their discount.
